15 Days China Silk Road Tour fr £2144 - Itinerary
Day 01 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure in the afternoon.
Day 02 Beijing(B/L/D)
Full day tour to visit Summer Palace,The Forbidden city and Temple of Heaven.Famous peking duck for dinner.
Day 03 Beijing/Xi.an(B/L)
Take morning flight to Xi’an. A tour to the Terracotta Warriors in the afternoon.
Day 04 Xi’an /Jiayuguan(B/L)
Morning tour to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Jiayuguan.
Day 05 Jiayuguan(B/L)
Visit the Western end of the Great Wall at Jiayuguan Pass and Fortess which has over 600 years history. We will further visit the Great Wall in the afternoon to learn more about this legendary construction.
Day 06 Jiayuguan/Dunhuang(B/L)
We set off from Jiayuguan after breakfast and drive to Dunhuang city.
Day 07 Dunhuang(B/L)
Morning visit the famous Mingsha (Sound Sand) Desert and Crescent Moon Lake.
Day 08 Dunhuang/Turpan(B/L)
Visit the Mogao Grottoes in the morning and Local museum in the afternoon. Take overnight train to Turpan.
Day 09 Turpan(B/L)
Arrive Turpan in the morning, you will be transferred to rest and relax in your hotel. Later on we will visit Gaochang Ancient City, which until early in the Ming dynasty was a thriving town on the silk road. We will also visit Astana Ancient Tombs and Flaming Mountain, a mountain made famous by the classical Chinese mythological novel, Journey to the West.
Day 10 Turpan/Urumqi(B/L)
Today the coach will take us from Turpan to Urumqi. Visit the beautiful Heavenly Mountain & Heavenly Lake.
Day 11 Urumqi/Kashigar (B/L)
Fly to Kashgar today. The city known as “ The Pearl on the Silk Road”. Free at leisure at the rest of the day. You may rest or explore the town by yourself.
Day 12 Kashigar.(B/L)
Visit the Bazaar in the morning. Enjoy a Uyghur style lunch and later on we will visit and the Id Kad Mosque, China’s largest Islamic mosque dating back more than 500 years. a massive elegant Islamic style building created in 1640.
Day 13 Kashigar/Urumqi (B/L)
Take flight to Urumqi. Visit the Hongshan Park and Xinjiang Museum in the afternoon.
Day 14 Urumqi/Beijing.(B/L)
Transfer to the airport for flight to Beijing. Afternoon at leisure in Beijing.
Day 15 Depart from Beijing (B)
Extend your tour or be transferred to airport for flight to next destination.
